Rebel Wolves has confirmed that Coen can build relationships that may become romantic. The full partner list, route count, and exact requirements remain intentionally undisclosed before launch.
Does The Blood of Dawnwalker have romance?
Yes. Creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz confirmed romance options in an IGN interview, and Game Informer's studio preview independently describes Rebel Wolves' relationship systems and a demonstrated sequence with Coen and the herbalist Anca.
The useful distinction is that romance is confirmed, but a complete romance guide is not yet possible. Rebel Wolves said it wants players to discover the routes after release rather than publishing every partner and condition in advance.

How does the 30-day time system affect romance?
The campaign gives Coen a limited number of days and nights to save his family. Quests and selected activities can advance that calendar, so spending time with a character may compete with combat, investigation, or another person's quest.
In Game Informer's studio demonstration, Coen could stay with Anca during a storm and practice Latin. Choosing to stay consumed a time segment. The scene showed how a quiet relationship decision can carry the same strategic cost as a more obvious quest objective.
This is not a dating-sim calendar: the confirmed system is part of the wider narrative sandbox. The developers have not published a universal “give gifts until a meter fills” formula.
How are relationships tracked?
Rebel Wolves told Game Informer that it tracks choices at an individual level. NPCs can remember what Coen does and react later, while relationships can grow through dialogue, actions, helping someone, and completing quieter activities or quests.
That suggests a route is shaped by more than one final dialogue choice. It does not prove that every remembered decision changes romance, that every major NPC is available, or that all routes use identical requirements.
Which romance characters are confirmed?
Anca is the clearest relationship tease shown in the Game Informer preview: the demonstration included flirtatious dialogue and a time-consuming personal scene. However, the studio stopped short of publishing a final partner list or formally labeling every teased character as a complete romance route.
This guide therefore does not turn trailer chemistry, community theories, or uploaded scene titles into a confirmed list. It will add named routes only when the game is available or Rebel Wolves publishes the requirements directly.
