Lacra's romance requires reaching the final conversation in The Night of Horrors. Keep the quest cutoff below in mind: finishing a campaign finale is a different commitment from completing her personal route.

How to find and contact Lacra

There are two documented paths into A Friend Like This:

• Defeat Ambrus during The Gilded Gauntlet and read the note on his body.
• Help Ocha become boss during The Heart Wants What It Wants, ask about potential allies, then visit Vicho and complete A Study in Crimson.

Both paths point Coen toward Lacra. The Ocha route also helps during The Song of the Mountain because it can grant access to the Uriashi enclave without creating another confrontation around Lacra.

No quest lead? Investigate Svartrau's northeast wall

You can also start the investigation directly. PowerPyx's A Friend Like This walkthrough records finding clues in the alley beneath Svartrau's northeast city wall with Focus Mode. Inspect the damaged roof tile, then follow the rooftop trail at night, when Coen can use his vrakhiri traversal skills. This provides a documented route without first obtaining Ambrus's note or Vicho's tip.

Hive and Seek and Our Rotten Roots

At the beginning of Hive and Seek, Lacra opens the cave. Take the teasing response about showing off, then agree with the flirtatious follow-up. The decision concerning the Kobolds changes the quest outcome but is not reported as a romance lock.

During Our Rotten Roots, Coen can investigate Lacra's memories even after she warns him away. Doing so reveals more of her history without automatically blocking the relationship. A later decision involving Isbrand affects the story branch; inviting him in is the cautious route used in published walkthroughs, but the romance remains centered on finishing Lacra's chain.

The Night of Horrors and the Mandrake

Do The Night of Horrors before Midnight Reckoning

After Our Rotten Roots, allow one in-game day, or 16 time segments, then return to Lacra at the tower near Westridge Outpost Shrine. This wait and meeting point are documented in PowerPyx's quest walkthrough.

When both quests are available, finish The Night of Horrors first; advancing Midnight Reckoning can close the romance opportunity. This cutoff is reported in Polygon's walkthrough. We have no verified method to reopen the scene after that cutoff; keep a save before committing to the finale.

At the end of The Night of Horrors, the documented route is to eat the Mandrake, follow Lacra, drink from her wrist, and kiss her. Those steps follow Polygon's route; PowerPyx's romance guide identifies the drink-and-kiss conversation after the Mandrake decision.

The sources do not establish every outcome after refusing the flower. If you already refused it, check whether Lacra's follow-up invitation is still available instead of assuming the route has certainly failed. We have not tested that branch.

Mandrake Ward and Mesmerize are different rewards

• Eat the Mandrake: receive Mandrake Ward, a perk that prevents one death per night.
• Drink Lacra's blood during the romance: unlock Mesmerize, the vampiric ability.

PowerPyx distinguishes these two rewards. Eating the flower alone is not the documented Mesmerize unlock. See the vrakhiri blood guide for the other ability sources.

How to get Lacra in the epilogue

PC Gamer's epilogue observation requires completing Lacra's personal quests up to the final Midnight Reckoning quest, not finishing her campaign ending. Complete The Night of Horrors before choosing a finale. The reported visit can occur with another ending; we have not reproduced every ending branch ourselves.

The time budget is the practical limit. Lacra's access quests, Uriashi work, and final chain compete with other campaign priorities, so start the route before the last few days rather than expecting to finish it as a single late-game encounter.

Is Lacra romanceable?

Yes. She is one of three documented romance options and the only vrakhiri partner.

Do you have to defeat Ambrus first?

No. Ocha and Vicho can reveal her, or you can investigate the northeast-wall clues in Svartrau directly. The rooftop part of that investigation requires night.

Does the Kobold decision block the romance?

Launch walkthroughs report that it does not. The required step is continuing Lacra's personal chain.

Do you have to eat the Mandrake?

Eating it is part of the published romance route and grants Mandrake Ward. We have not verified whether refusing it always blocks the later invitation. Drinking Lacra's blood is the documented step that grants Mesmerize.

Why is The Night of Horrors not continuing?

After Our Rotten Roots, check that a full in-game day has passed and return to the tower near Westridge Outpost Shrine. Complete the personal quest before advancing Midnight Reckoning. Missing the finale cutoff and not yet meeting the wait condition are different situations.

Can Lacra appear if Coen romances Anca or Crake?

Yes, according to PC Gamer's reported playthroughs. Finish her personal quests before the finale; choosing Lacra's campaign ending is not required for the reported epilogue visit.
