Which Xbox platforms are supported?

The official product information lists Xbox Series X|S and PC. Xbox Wire also names Xbox cloud as a way to play, while the Xbox game page says the Windows version can be played on supported gaming handhelds.

An Xbox One version is not present in the current platform list. “Optimized for Xbox Series X|S” should not be read as Xbox One compatibility.

Does it support Xbox Play Anywhere?

Yes. Xbox states that you can buy the digital Xbox version once and play on Xbox console and PC at no additional cost. Both platforms must use the Microsoft/Xbox ecosystem; buying the Steam version is a separate purchase and does not become an Xbox Play Anywhere license.

Purchase check: look for the Xbox Play Anywhere badge on the Microsoft Store product page. A physical console disc or a purchase from another PC storefront should not be assumed to include the same cross-platform entitlement.

Which Xbox performance modes are confirmed?

The August 24 announcement separates Series X and Series S. Series X has three launch targets; Series S has one published target.

Series X PerformanceTargets 60 FPS

Arrives through the day-one launch patch.

Series X BalancedTargets 40 FPS

The official post names the target but not an output resolution.

Series X QualityTargets 30 FPS

Graphics settings and ray-tracing behavior are not itemized.

Series STargets 30 FPS

No additional Series S mode is announced.

The Microsoft Store separately lists 4K Ultra HD, Ray Tracing, and Optimized for Xbox Series X|S as capabilities. Those labels do not identify which mode uses ray tracing, prove native 4K, or apply identical settings to Series X and Series S.

Which Xbox editions are available?

The US Microsoft Store currently compares two digital editions. Prices can vary by region.

Standard Edition$69.99+ USD

The complete base game.

Eclipse Edition$79.99+ USD

Base game plus the Eclipse digital content.

The Eclipse content includes the Digital World Compendium, Digital Comic Book, and Digital Soundtrack. The Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor Set was a pre-order early unlock rather than permanent exclusive equipment; it can also be obtained later in the game.

What is still unconfirmed on Xbox?

The official Xbox sources checked for this page do not publish:

  • Output resolutions or dynamic-resolution ranges for any mode
  • Separate Series X and Series S graphics settings
  • Whether ray tracing is available in every display mode
  • A stable public console download-size figure
  • Current or future Xbox Game Pass inclusion

Check the Microsoft Store and official patch notes for changes rather than relying on unlabelled gameplay uploads.
